About the Author

Stan Kittleson is an accomplished racquetball player--he has taught the sport since 1972 and has been a physical educator in college settings since 1968. A professor of physical education at Augustana College in Rock Island, Illinois, Dr. Kittleson earned his PhD from the University of Illinois in 1973. He has served as president of the Illinois Association for Professional Preparation in Health, Physical Education, and Recreation and is a member of the American Alliance for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance. When not teaching or playing racquetball, Dr. Kittleson enjoys scuba diving, alpine skiing, and golf.
