The field guide depicts step by step what must occur for organizations to create an effective environmental management system (EMS) in conformance with ISO 14001:2015, whether from scratch or by transitioning from ISO 14001:2004. In keeping with ISO 9000:2015's definition of environmental as the degree to which a set of inherent characteristics fulfills requirements, the authors have identified the requirements and inherent characteristics (distinguishing features) for this field guide. Within the guide, each sub-clause containing requirements is the focus of a two-page spread that consistently presents features that fulfill ISO 14001's requirements. What separates this field guide from most other books on ISO 14001:2015 and its implementation are flowcharts showing the steps to be taken in implementing an EMS to meet a sub-clause s requirements.

About the Author

Erik V. Myhrberg is CEO and founder of Moorhill International Group, Inc., a Virginia-based consulting firm dedicated to fostering international relations through commerce and cultural exchange. He has been involved in technical marketing and operations with such multinational firms as IBM and American Express. He has 25 years of experience within the area of international management system standards as auditor, consultant, author and member of U.S. Technical Advisory Groups (TAGs) TC 207 and TC 176. Myhrberg holds a BS in international marketing from Arizona State University, an MIM in international management from Thunderbird School of Global Management, a Ph.D. in international business from Rushmore University, and an DMin from Minnesota Graduate School of Theology in Biblical Studies that he utilizes as a Federal Chaplain. He is also author of A Practical Field Guide For ISO 9001:2015, and co-author of A Practical Field Guide for ISO 13485 (ASQ Quality Press, 2013) and A Practical Field Guide for AS9100C (ASQ Quality Press, 2011). He resides in Virginia with his wife of 25+ years and their two wonderful children.

Brandon L. Myhrberg is responsible for risk assessment and management system auditing for Moorhill International Group, Inc. He has been actively involved in projects (both domestically and internationally) within the aerospace, medical device, government, and defense-related industries. Myhrberg holds a BA in Communication from Regent University, where he is currently pursuing a Masters in Government National Security Studies.
