About the Author
David Bigler is past president of the Oregon-California Trails Association and founder of Utah Westerners. He is author of many articles on Utah, Mormon, and western American history which have appeared in The Salt Lake Tribune, Overland Journal, and Utah Historical Quarterly. He currently lives in California.
