Synopsis
Along the urban corridor of the Wasatch Front, much of the western horizon is formed by the distinctive ridge line of Antelope Island in Great Salt Lake. A state park, the island is a favorite destination for Utah outdoor recreationists and visiting tourists. Despite its familiarity to Utahns and others, many know little about the island's environment and history. Marlin Stum satisfies the need for a thoughtful and entertaining overview of this important Utah landmark.

About the Author
Stum has spent much of his life exploring the island and Great Salt Lake both on site and through library research, and he currently works as a volunteer on the island. Marlin freelances from his home in Salt Lake City and is a travel correspondent with _Standard Examiner_ in Ogden. His articles have appeared in magazines such as _Canoe, Climbing, Alaska Magazine, and Edging West_ and in newspapers that include the _Seattle Times, Austin American-Statesman, and the Arizona Daily Star_. He has written numerous articles about Great Salt Lake for local publications.
Dan Miller has been a photographer since 1979. He began his career shooting several pieces for _Utah Holiday_ magazine and working for the _Lakeside Review_. Since then, Dan's work has included a five-year stint at the _Salt Lake Tribune_ in Salt Lake City, and seven years with the _Herald Journal_ in Logan. He was photo editor at the _Herald Journal_ for three years.
