The Crosswicks Wildlife Sanctuary is "a fragment of wetlands that shelters a profusion of wildlife." It is open space which was saved thirty years ago but which today is again threatened by encroaching development. In "A Certain Tract of Land," Jean Seder vividly depicts what is at stake in one small skirmish in the fight to protect and conserve endangered natural habitats.
