[Note: this book has been reprinted as EDGAR CAYCE'S TWELVE LESSONS IN PERSONAL SPIRITUALITY.]
This book is designed as a tool for personal reflection, as a handbook for small group discussion, and even as a source of encouragement during those moments when the challenges of life seem more overwhelming than the beauty of it. Based on the Edgar Cayce material, Twelve Lessons in Personal Spirituality presents insights for awakening to our true nature and to an awareness of the purpose of the soul.

Kevin J. Todeschi, M.A., has been involved with the Edgar Cayce material and the Association for Research and Enlightenment, Inc., for more than twenty years. A writer and international speaker, he has led tours to Egypt, Israel, and Greece and has lectured in Japan and France. A spokesperson on the transpersonal nature of humankind, he has written several books in addition to Twelve Lessons, including Edgar Cayce on the Akashic Records (A.R.E. Press) and The Encyclopedia of Symbolism (Berkley/Perigee). His latest is Edgar Cayce on Soul Mates (A.R.E. Press).
American psychic and Christian mystic, Edgar Cayce (1877-1945) gave over 14,000 readings, which have been documented by the Association for Research and Enlightenment (ARE). Cayce diagnosed medical conditions, prescribed health treatments, and gave spiritual guidance when he entered a clairvoyant state for the purpose of helping others. Kevin Todeschi has written a clear, thought-provoking overview of the essays on spiritual transformation collected by the ARE; they discuss the role of meditation and prayer, the dynamics of self-knowledge through relationships and through service to others, and the importance of establishing spiritual ideals and consciously applying them in daily life. Highly recommended.
