About the Author

Jack Horner, a native of Shelby, Montana, found his first dinosaur bone when he was eight. He now conducts dinosaur research throughout the world. Since 1982, Horner has been curator of paleontology at the Museum of the Rockies in Bozeman. He and his research team discovered the first dinosaur eggs in the Western Hemisphere, the first evidence of colonial nesting and parental care among dinosaurs, and the first dinosaur embryos--all in Montana. Author of numerous scientific and popular books and articles, Horner served as technical advisor for the movies Jurassic Park, The Lost World, and Jurassic Park III.
