An important addition to New England genealogical literature, this book presents an authoritative treatment of six generations of descendants of James and Alice Nash of Boston and Weymouth, Massachusetts. A shoemaker and house wright, James Nash was probably in Weymouth in 1641, owned land in Boston as early as 1645, and in May of that year was on the list of freemen of Massachusetts Bay Colony. Benson discusses the immigrant couple's possible origins in Buckinghamshire. Map. Index.
