Dr. Glenn Nowell was ordained as a Southern Baptist minister on his twenty-first birthday in 1973 in Alabama, where he held his first pastorate. He graduated from Troy State University and earned graduate degrees from Stamford University, Lael College, the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, and Louisville Presbyterian Theological Seminary. He also studied in Oxford England and at the University of Louisville, and earned certification in clinical pastoral education at Baptist Hospital East, Louisville. Dr. Nowell adopted Louisville, Kentucky as his home before entering the United States Air Force as a chaplain, and returned to Louisville upon his retirement from active duty in 1996.As a chaplain, his reliance upon the Beatitudes, in the treatment of a variety of psychological disorders, produced phenomenal success. As a result, he became a sought-after advisor for both federal and state mental health agencies. His divinely-inspired methods continued to work when others failed. Since his retirement, Dr. Nowell has devoted himself to a ministry of sharing biblical spirituality to treat behavioral disorders among dysfunctional families and entire dysfunctional congregations caught in conflict. Dr. Nowell is pastor of Hillview Baptist Church in Louisville where he has a radio ministry and resides with wife Michaela and their son, Wes.
