About the Author:

Katharine Baily, a former New Yorker and Smith College graduate, has written extensively for many national and local publication. A Virgin Islands resident for nearly four decades, Kay has been deeply involved in community affairs and environmental concerns on St. Thomas.

Gloria Bourne, a Mount Holyoke College graduate in economics and sociology, moved to St. Croix in 1980 after a successful career in public relations in California. From her West Indian home in Christiansted, she writes enthusiastically about St. Croix and the Virgin Islands.

Fritz Henle, whose reputation as a photographer is international, has lived in the Virgin Islands for many years. He is as famous for his spontaneous portraits as for his land- and seascapes.
