In 2009, Michael McCarthy published his first book, From "Cork to the New World: A Journey for Survival," now in its second printing. Additionally, he has published numerous articles for the NorthEast College and University Security Association (NECUSA)īs The Clipboard and the International Association of Campus Law Enforcement Administrators (IACLEA)īs Campus Law Enforcement Journal. Mr. McCarthy served as editor for The Clipboard for six years. For the past 14 years, Mr. McCarthy has been the Director of Safety and Security at St. John Fisher College (Rochester, N.Y.). Previously, he was a Police Investigator with the Rochester Police Department, before retiring with twenty years of service. Mr. McCarthy was born and raised in Lockport, and currently resides with his wife, Ann, on Dublin Road in Penfield, New York.
