About the Author

Dr. James Shaw is director of the Applied Economics Program at the University of San Francisco. His primary research involves the economics of new product development in the telecommunications industry. He holds M.A., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees in economics, managerial science, and political science from the University of Nevada, and an A.M. in communications from Stanford University.
