Darryl L. Tippens is Provost and Professor English at Pepperdine University, where he teaches courses in medieval and early modern literature. Before coming to Pepperdine University in 2001, he taught at Abilene Christian University for many years, where he was James W. Culp Professor of English literature. Dr. Tippens earned the M.A. and Ph.D. in English literature at Louisiana State University. He has published scholarly articles on Shakespeare, Milton, the Bible as literature, literary theory, and the works of Walter McDonald. He has published numerous essays on religion, spirituality, popular culture, and film. He is associate editor of Explorations in Renaissance Culture.
Stephen Weathers is Associate Professor of English at Abilene Christian University, Abilene, Texas. Having earned the Ph.D. at Florida State University in 1999, he currently teaches a broad range of courses in American, British, and World literatures. His creative writing has appeared in a number of literary journals including the Concho River Review, Image: A Journal of the Arts & Religion, and American Short Fiction, and it has garnered prizes in competition.
Jeanne Walker is Professor of English at The University of Delaware, where she teaches courses in the English Renaissance, as well as script and poetry writing. Her PhD is from The University of Pennsylvania. She travels widely to do readings and teach workshops at universities and writing conferences. For twenty years she served as Poetry Editor for Christianity and Literature and she currently sits on the Board of Shenandoah. The author of six books of poetry, including Coming Into History and A Deed To the Light, she also writes essays and scripts for the theatre. Among honors for her work, she holds an NEA fellowship in the Arts and a Pew Fellowship, and her poetry has appeared on busses and trains with Poetry in Motion.
