Kelli W. Vito, SPHR, CCP, is principal of KV Consulting, which is based in Austin, Texas, and offers strategic human resources (HR) management consulting and auditing services to both private and public sector organizations. Her practice specializes in HR auditing, workforce planning, performance management and measurement, strategic planning, compensation administration, and organizational design. Ms. Vito also teaches a variety of management courses. KV Consulting is a certified Texas Historically Underutilized Business.
Before starting her own business, Ms. Vito served as the top HR executive for the State of Texas. Her responsibilities included advising more than 200 agencies and higher education institutions on all aspects of HR management. She also testified before the Texas State Legislature and worked extensively on developing workforce regulations. Before assuming that role, she served as an audit manager for the Texas State Auditor s Office. She was responsible for performance-related audits and developed the first HR audit program for the state.
Ms. Vito has a BBA in management and marketing from the University of Texas at Austin. She is a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR), a Certified Compensation Professional (CCP), and a member of the Society of Human Resource Management.
