About the Author: Iver Strandberg is a native of Göteborg, Sweden, born in September, 1899. At two years of age, he came to America in his mother's arms, and was brought up in the timber region of northern Wisconsin. His first home in this country was a log cabin. In those surroundings his appreciation grew for the natural beauties of God's creation which later served as the basis for his poetic works. As a youth, Iver read intensely about poets and poetry, and from 1921 to 1955 he wrote some one thousand poems. His poetic vision is spurred on by a firm Bible-based belief that paradise will be an earthwide reality in the near future. It is hoped that the readers of this book will appreciate more than the mechanics of rhyme and meter, but rather will share with Iver Strandberg some truly inspirational experiences and scenes, as well as some occasional light humor.
