A reader will gain a distinct flavor of the county, its people and their communities. -- Pennsylvania
Lavishly illustrated by local photographers Keith Baum and Jerry Irwin . . . lovingly documents Lancaster County as residents see and know it. -- New Era,Lancaster, PA
The rich variety of photographs is the 'frosting on the cake' of the book-and the 'cake' itself is substantial. Klimuska gives more details than are ordinarily found in coffee-table books. His material is clear and easy to read. . . . But the easy reading is deceptive. The text is packed with details and little-known facts about the area. Klimuska's narrative also reveals how deeply he cares about his subject. -- Tribune-Review, Greensburg, PA
This is a big, beautiful picture book for the coffee table. The book is well written & well integrated with the excellent pictures. It's a beautiful book about a beautiful place & people. -- Travelwriter Marketletter
