The Eclectic Gourmet Guide to Atlanta helps you avoid dining disappointments and overpriced restaurants and points you directly to the best-quality dining for the price. Atlanta's many suburbs and ethnic influences offer a wide variety of dining experiences for even the most seasoned connoisseurs. Whether you're looking for a casual experience at a local barbecue joint or some jazz with your meal, savory fried chicken with collard greens or authentic dim sum, this guide has a recommendation for you.

Inside you'll find Atlanta's top 130 restaurants rated and ranked. In-depth profiles of each restaurant reflect the expertise of Jane Garvey, an acknowledged culinary expert and critic. A full page is devoted to each establishment, and the reviews discuss each restaurant's best dishes, atmosphere, and service. You'll also find easy-to-read ratings for quality and value, restaurants indexed by cuisine, quality, value, and location, hours, reservation, credit card, dress, and parking information, recommendations for what to order, and what not to order and a favorite-picks section that tells you where to find the "Best Burgers," "Best Desserts," "Best Delis," and more.

Best of all, with The Eclectic Gourmet, you'll find the same honest observations and accurate information that made The Unofficial Guides the ultimate insider's guide. With this dependable resource, you'll have the city's best dining at your fingertips.

Horseradish Grill¿An old horse barn converted into a restaurant many years ago remained dark and forbidding until transformed by local restaurant architect Bill Johnson into a bright, dynamic dining room. Large windows admit light, and tables are comfortably spaced in both the front porch area and the main dining room. Near one of Atlanta¿s major parks and performance venues, the restaurant fills quickly for both meal services. Private affairs in the back are wonderful in nice weather. The noise level is high for some folks, but the place is so well designed, you can easily hear your table¿s conversation.
