David H. Barlow, PhD, is Professor of Psychology and Director of Clinical Training Programs and Director of the Center for Anxiety and Related Disorders at Boston University. He has published over 300 articles and chapters and over 20 books, mostly in the areas of anxiety disorders, sexual problems, and clinical research methodology. The Editor of Guilford's Treatment Manuals for Practitioners Series, Dr. Barlow's awards include the Distinguished Scientist Award from Section III of the Division of Clinical Psychology of the American Psychological Association; the Excellence in Research award from the University at Albany, State University of New York; and a MERIT Award from the National Institute of Mental Health for long-term contributions to the clinical research effort.
