Synopsis
Giraldus was a prolific writer and influential figure in the twelfth century renaissance, and his irreplaceable account of the coming of the Normans to Ireland was the first Irish history book by a non-Irish author. This, the third title in the series of publications ancillary to A New History of Ireland, is the first volume in a series of Irish Medieval Texts. They are to be editions of medieval works, written in languages other than Irish but dealing with the history of Ireland.
