Then the healing activity of the apostolic Church is considered, followed by a detailed study of the identity and significance of Paul's thorn in the flesh, and of James' instructions to the Church about the healing of the sick. The final section discusses the healing commission which Jesus gave to his disciples and whether it is still valid today. The book ends with a consideration of the practice of the ministry of healing of the Church today in the light of the teaching of the New Testament and the modern medical situation.
