Book Description Sundance Publications, Ltd., Silverton, CO, 1976. Hardcover. Limited edition. Elephant folio [63 cm] 1/4 black paper with brown vinyl paper covered boards, and a gilt stamped title on the front cover. Good only. The covers are gently bowed, just a little bit cocked, and have a couple of small circular and rectangular indentations. There are numerous small ripples and very light stains on the covers as well. The spine ends and edges of the covers are slightly bumped and abraded. The fore edges of the pages have large, light damp stains. The damp staining does affect the edges of the illustrations. The largest stains are 16 inches tall by roughly 1 and 1/2 inches wide. The pages are subtly rippled. There is a 9 inch long closed tear in illustration number 11. The fore edges of the pages often have minor abraded areas or adhered paper. May require extra postage. No. 723 of 3,000 copies. U. S. Bicentennial Commemorative Edition in honor of the great W. H. Jackson. A number of the sepiatone views reproduced in this portfolio came from the collection of nearly 300 20x24-inch (or a little smaller) glass-plate negatives stored in a vault at the Colorado State Museum in Denver.
