Synopsis
The Wyoming Almanac, 662 pages of facts and information arranged in 96 categories (plus sports and weather), is the first place Wyomingites turn for answers to out-of-the-ordinary questions about any aspect of Wyoming. This year (2014) marks the 25th anniversary of the publication of the first edition. Categories in this 7th revised edition are selected by the authors, drawing from their diverse expertise in all subjects involving Wyoming. Entries provide a snapshot of Wyoming's complex history, culture, media, literature, sports, people and society.

About the Author
Phil Roberts is professor of history, University of Wyoming, where he has taught since 1990. A veteran of the U. S. Marine Corps, he holds the J.D. degree in law from the University of Wyoming College of Law and the Ph.D. in history from the University of Washington. David L. Roberts, born in Lusk, Wyoming, founded the Medicine Bow Post newspaper in Medicine Bow, Wyoming, published and edited it for 11 years. A graduate of the University of Arizona, he holds the M. A. in journalism from the University of Nebraska. He has advised student publications and taught journalism in Wyoming and Colorado. He currently is a journalism professor at MIssouri Valley College, Marshall, Mo. David primarily edits the Almanac categories on books, literature, newspapers, movies, and television. Steven L. Roberts, also a native of Lusk, Wyoming, taught history and social studies in Wyoming high schools prior to having a long career with the U. S. Postal Service in Arizona Wyoming, and Colorado. A graduate of the University of Wyoming, with the M.A. from the University of Arizona, he is a U. S. Army veteran. A former coach and long-time fan of Wyoming sports at all levels, Steve edits the sports sections.
