Sheet 112x68cm colour printed to both sides with maps, photos and printed information, folding down into illustrated title panels 11x23cm, with (2)pp publisher's covering letter dated 17 January 1991 laid in. Near fine, neatly folded. With the motto "Serving those who serve since 1969", Military Living Publications was founded by Vietnam veterans Ann and Roy Crawford to provide information for service personnel and their families, and for schools. This contains a large map of Saudi Arabia and parts of its neighbours to one side (1cm to @42km), and the Middle East to the other (1cm to @75km). Both were drawn by the University of Maryland's Cartographic Services Lab, incorporating research by the Crawfords and others. Details include oilfields, pipelines, terminals, sand and salt deserts, mountains, water depths, disputed territory, boundaries, roads, rail, sea and airports, etc. A photo essay, "Desert Memories" includes around 40 captioned colour and b/w photos showing scenes from Desert Shield and the transition into Desert Storm. The text, "A Profile of Selected Middle East Countries", includes US State Department information on Bahrain, Cyprus, Egypt, Iran, Iraq, Israel, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Syria, Turkey, UAE, and Yemen.
