About the author, as it appears on back cover of "At Redbones" (front cover drawn my the author):Thylias Moss, who currently teaches at Phillips Academy on Andover, Massachusetts, earned a Bachelor of Arts degree t Oberlin College and a Master of Arts degree at the University of New Hampshire. This, her third collection of poems, follows Hosiery Seams on a Bowlegged Woman (Cleveland State University Poetry Center, 1983) and Pyramid of Bone (finalist for the National Book Critics Circle Award; Callaloo, 1989). She is recipient of a 1987 Artist's Fellowship from the Artist's Foundation of Massachusetts, a 1989 NEA grant, and a Pushcart Prize. Her work has appeared in a number of journals, including Callaloo, Epoch, Field, Iowa Review, and Best American Poetry.
