Fredric Arnold is the author of Doorknob Five Two and Kohn's War, memoirs of his combat experience as a P-38 fighter pilot in North Africa in 1943. This unique collection of correspondence begins with Fredric Arnold's attempt to find a German fighter pilot who shot him down in Sicily and Col. Erich Hartmann's assistance in helping Arnold in his search. In addition to Hartmann, German Generals and other WW II Aces joined in the search. Throughout the collection there are many fine photographs taken during the war. This is a special printing of 500 copies signed by the author.
