The magician known as The Great Benyon performed throughout New Zealand, Australia, South Africa, England and Ireland from the 1920s to post-World War Two. He opened his act as a Chinese fire-eater and in rapid succession appeared as a Hindu paper-tearer, a Japanese balancer, a French lightning sketch artist, an English juggler, a French mimic and, finally, an English ventriloquist -- each with a different costume. His illusion show "Bam-Boo-Zalem" was a success for many years. The edition is limited to 500 copies signed by the author. Hardcover in dust jacket. Illustrated throughout.
