Sheldon Needle is president of CTS and a frequent speaker at national computer and accounting conferences, including those of the AICPA and numerous state CPA societies. Prior to founding CTS in 1983, he had more than 20 years' experience in accounting, systems analysis and consulting.
Mr. Needle has authored more than seven professional books and guides, and published many articles for leading professional periodicals, including Journal of Accountancy, as a contributing editor, Accounting News, Real Estate Outlook, Practicing CPA, Infoworld, Computerworld, PC Week, Micromarket World, Nation's Business, Business Software, and Computers in Accounting.
With a BS in finance from Syracuse University and an MBA in finance and accounting from American University, Mr. Needle has held various positions in those fields including systems analyst for AMOCO, consultant for Main LaFrentz (public accounting firm), Controller Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for Sports Accessories, Inc., and Senior Project Manager for STSC (a major computer services company). Also, he has served in the U.S. Army Corps as Special Projects Officer specializing in Accounting Systems.
As President of CTS, Inc., Mr. Needle also delivers seminars and consults with businesses on the selection and use of microcomputer accounting systems.
