About the Author

Bill Pletsch has been associated with the semiconductor industry for over 30 years in various capacities in wafer fabrication and equipment sales. In earlier years, he worked at Fairchild Semiconductor, Intersil, and National Semiconductor in various manufacturing and engineering roles. More recently he has been employed by Mitsubishi, Eaton Corporation, and Varian Semiconductor in the sale of high tech equipment to the industry.
