When 13-year-old twins Justin and Jenny Parker accompany their Uncle Pete to the lowland jungles of Bolivia, they are expecting to tour oil wells, not a cocaine lab. A haul of cocaine found on Triton Oil property, a bitter young helicopter pilot, a DEA task force, and a man-eating jaguar are the components of an adventure that may cost them their lives.

I myself grew up overseas in the countries and places described in my books. My parents were missionaries in Colombia. My own childhood was spent canoeing up and down the jungle rivers, flying in Cessna to boarding school in Venezuela, hiking up the Andes mountains and into the jungles of South America. My hope for the Parker Twin series is that each book , along with its exciting mystery/suspense story, will teach solid values and open children's minds to a great, exciting world of other peoples and cultures not so different under the surface than our own. From the Back Cover:
Kidnapping drug dealers and a daring helicopter rescue
Teen twins, Jenny and Justin Parker, love traveling with their uncle in Bolivia and can’t wait to see the jungles of South America. But when their safari is put on hold because of their uncle’s business, the twins thought for sure they’d be bored . . . until they stumble on a secret U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency camp and into the path of dangerous drug dealers.
It isn’t long before Justin and Jenny realize that the red-eyed man following them may be more dangerous than the scorpions, tarantulas, and man-eating jaguars.
“Page turning, action-packed adventure. These books are cool!”

“I never knew what was going to happen. I kept leaning forward as I read, waiting to turn the page.”
—Jonathan, age 13
Jeanette Windle has spent most of her life in South America, where she canoed in jungle rivers, hiked the steep Andes mountain trails, and swung from vines off cliffs into huge pools of water below. She and her family—husband, Marty and four kids, ages nine to eighteen—now live in Miami, Florida.
