Wendy Mark first received recognition in 1995 when Thomas Hoving cited her "as one of the finest artists alive in America," in Cigar Aficionado's list of most valuable art investments (among the "Picassos and the Monets of the 21st Century"). Ms. Mark received her MFA in poetry in 1974 from Columbia University and has had unusual success in transforming a literary imagination into a visual one. Her prints and books are included in the Morgan Library's illustrated book collection. Her work has been exhibited extensively and can be found in numerous private and public collections.
Mark Strand is a former Poet Laureate of the United States. Mr. strand is the author of ten books of poems which have brought him many honors and grants including a MacArthur Fellowship. The most recent of which, "Blizzard of One" won the Pulitzer Prize.
