Since electricity costs have gone up and lighting choices have gotten more complicated, this how-to book will put money in the pocket of home and business owners. They can replace inefficient light bulbs with energy-efficient ones. But what to choose? This book will explain what the required light bulb labels indicate, whether compact fluorescent, cold cathode, or LED bulbs are the best; which shape to use; how many lumens to choose; which wattage, and what color of light. The reader can determine their savings, their payback time, and after payback, the savings are money in their pocket. Homeowners will benefit by reducing lighting and air conditioning costs. Business owners will benefit not only with reduced lighting costs, but with reduced air conditioning and maintenance costs, which actually exceed their lighting savings--a win, win, win situation. Further, readers will learn how lighting controls assist in cost reduction; how to utilize daylight ; and how lighting affects their health. The benefits of using this book are individual, national, and global. What other book can say that? An American Indian Proverb says it best--We have not inherited this earth from our ancestors; we have borrowed it from our children. Let's make sure we return it in good condition. Read and use this book.
