PreSchool-Grade 4-A real boon for Jewish educators and parents, as well as for those who wish to promote multicultural awareness. What makes this craft book so unique is the sheer quantity of ideas. The book is divided into 11 Jewish holidays, with a minimum of 6 crafts for some and as many as 16 for others, such as Hanukkah. The directions are concise and easy to follow, each clearly listing "what you need" and "what you do." Most require scrap items that are readily available. The projects are certainly doable by preschoolers with adult direction; primary graders will be able to replicate them independently. Some background information is included about each holiday as well as some additional suggestions for games and snacks. Black-and-white illustrations are lively, and show the process as well as the end product. While some of the crafts may have appeared in other resources, it is useful to have so many in one volume.
