About the Author

Clara Fraser (1923-1998) lived her workingclass politics with style and aplomb, earning the title Grande Dame of Socialism bestowed on her by the Seattle Post-Intelligencer. The daughter of radical Jewish immigrants from Russia and Latvia, Fraser was a lifelong revolutionary, gifted organizer, and visionary theorist of Marxist feminism. She was a founder and stellar leader of the Freedom Socialist Party and Radical Women, and an editor and columnist for the Freedom Socialist newspaper, where her Socialism for Skeptics series first appeared. Her book, Revolution, She Wrote, published by Red Letter Press in 1998, presents 40 years of inspiring, groundbreaking, and thought-provoking writings and speeches. Fraser is also co-author of Crisis and Leadership, published by Red Letter Press in 2000.
