Michael Straight was born in 1916. He was educated at Dartington Hall, the London School of Economics, and Cambridge University. For many years he was the editor of The New Republic. From 1969-1977 he was the deputy Chairman of the National Endowment for the Arts. He is the author of a number of non-fiction works and three novels.Review:
