Peggy Fielding is an Oklahoman who spent several years outside the USA in Cuba, Japan and the Republic of the Philippines. She now lives in Tulsa, Oklahoma where she is a fulltime writer of both fiction and nonfiction. Fielding teaches writing part time at Tulsa Community College. Many of her former students have gone on to publish short stories, articles and more than 350 books. Fielding has published hundreds of articles and short stories, several nonfiction books and has sold both contemporary and historical novels. She often speaks at Writer’s Conferences and Seminars across the United States. She belongs to Romance Writers of America, The Author’s Guild, International Women’s Writing Guild, Oklahoma Writers Federation, Inc., Oklahoma Mystery Writers and the Tulsa NightWriters.
Jackie King is a full time writer who lives alone in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She survived a divorce much like the one described in FLIRTING AT FIFTY and like her fictional character is supported by a strong network of friends and family. She studied journalism at the University of Oklahoma and has published a number of short stories about women and women’s problems. She has also sold articles. She is a member of Romance Writers of America, Sisters in Crime, Mystery Writers of America, Oklahoma Writers Federation, Oklahoma Mystery Writers, and Tulsa Night Writers.
Paula Watkins and her long time partner, Jim, live in Tulsa, Oklahoma. They have one daughter, Sarah. Paula, a veteran defense attorney with the Tulsa County Public Defender Office, currently handles appeals after doing a lengthy stint in the trial division. She has taught and written teaching materials for both state and national legal seminars. Paula’s creative writing has been honored in state competition. Avid dancers, Paula and Jim, escape the everyday stresses of life with a good dose of weekend dancing, and as much Oklahoma Sooner football as they can get.
A former newspaper reporter, Sharon Ervin has a B.A. degree in journalism from the University of Oklahoma. Her published novels are many. Sharon also contributed to The Sooner Story 1890 to 1980 and The Published Author’s Guide to Promotion, 2003. Her articles and short stories—fiction and non-fiction—have appeared in dozens of newspapers and national magazines. Sharon is active in Romance Writers Ink (Tulsa), Romance Writers of America, The Oklahoma Writers Federation, Inc., Sisters in Crime, The Lesser North Texas Writers and McAlester’s McSherry Writers. She is married, lives in McAlester, Oklahoma, and has four grown children.
