These essays are part of a project in response to the African American intellectuals and their continental colleagues who have criticized the Pan-Africanist Nationalist tradition, especially that of the United States. They are also and perhaps more significantly contributions to the restoration of the traditional African practice of Good Speech. Good Speech (mdw nfr) was the mode of reasoned discourse among the Kemetic (Ancient Egyptian) scribes and intellectuals; it was also the essence of the "living tradition" of the rest of Africa.
