~ Award winning author Frank Mosco again looks to his former home and favorite old city of St. Augustine, Florida, for the inspiration to create a third entertaining novel to take place in that local, all in a different genre. This time he mixes a bit of history with a lot of fantasy resulting in a great read full of mystery, action, and adventure. A fun tale that transports his characters and the reader through time from the 17th century to the turn of the 21st. ~ SCENARIO: In old St. Augustine an ancient link to the past is revealed when a young boy and his three friends (the Lighthouse Gang) find a magic medallion thousands of years old. The relic connects him with a mysterious stranger as well as generating the gang's interest in a legendary pirate and the old St. Augustine lighthouse. Through forces unknown they find themselves lost in a subterranean world in which they encounter strange and dangerous creatures, and discover a long lost Mayan city full of wonder and intrigue. Calling on the aid of a beach bum genius, a 17th century pirate, and the medallion's incredible ancient magical power, they endeavor to overcome events and evil forces to save themselves, the city, and its people from destruction. Cane's Gate is an old fashion adventure story that will appeal to readers of all ages.

Author Frank Mosco began collecting awards for writing while still in high school, then again as a journalist in college where he majored in Broadcast Management & Media. He went on to produce material for all forms of media as a reporter, columnist, producer, director, and photographer as well as media and communications work for the Federal Government. His writing coupled with his business management and retail experience led him to form his own advertising and promotions agency where his work netted two Addy Award nominations for overall multimedia campaigns and another for print media. Preferring the life of an independent however, he eventually returned to freelance writing and photography. Frank is a native of Annapolis, Maryland, and after many years on the beaches of Florida which influenced a number of his books, he now resides and writes near the waters of the Chesapeake Bay in Virginia. There he produces mostly fictional novels of which he says, "...can be just as strange as reality but far more convenient and definitely more fun."
