About the Author

Cindy Owen, RT, RVT, RDMS, FSDMS, is a former ARDMS and ICAVL board member. She is currently Research Manager for Global Ultrasound at GE Healthcare and Director of Clinical Insights and Development at GE Healthcare Point of Care Ultrasound.

D.E. Strandness, Jr., MD, was a pioneer in the development of duplex ultrasonography. He played a seminal role in the first edition of this publication. He was professor of surgery and chair of the department of vascular surgery at the University of Washington.
