About the Author

ANDY RUSSELL was born in 1915 in Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada. He has been a hunter, broncobuster, fisherman, professional guide and outfitter, and rancher. He is a noted naturalist and wildlife photographer, and his work has appeared in Natural History as well as several outdoor magazines. His book Grizzly Country is considered a modern classic on the big bears.
