A visual feast of over 280 images, most published for the first time, this book is the result of several years of extensive research in the Duxbury Rural and Historical Society's archives as well as interviews with Duxbury residents who generously loaned prints from their family albums and collections.

About the Author
Norman R. Forgit has been involved with Duxbury's history since 1969 when he and his wife joined the Duxbury Rural and Historical Society. He has been involved in the design and production of many of the Society's books, beginning with "Settlement and Growth of Duxbury" in 1973. He is a freelance graphic designer and photographer.
