Although I have been practicing Aikido for most of my life, I was first consciously introduced to it in 1974 by Dr. George Breed, who studied with Master Tohei. After practicing and developing its principles for three years, I had an exciting and amazing discovery during the summer of 1977. One bright night I was asleep but not asleep. I found myself on another level of consciousness studying aikido with Master Uyeshiba, the founder of aikido. At the end of he lesson he told me that I must teach. I cried tears of gratitude and devotion as i accepted an initiation that was to provide a sense of power and direction in my life. Since that day I have taught and have always been guided by power greater than myself. Even hitchhikers during the length of their rides study aikido with me. Th universe rules my life and has brought ma a gift that I would like to share with you: the harmony of nonviolence of more humorously put, "How to Defend Yourself Without Even Trying."
