About the Author:

Lea Leever Oldham has been teaching small business subjects for over 20 years at Lakeland Community College, Kirtland, Ohio, and other educational institutions. She was Small Business Management Instructor for the Ohio Department of Education for three and a half years.

Lea was a founding board member and second president of the Women Business Owners of Lake County which became the Women Business Owners of the Western Reserve. She has been a freelance writer, trainer and management consultant, educator, publisher, and event planner She was founding board member and later president of the Writers Center of Greater Cleveland. The Center merged with the Poets League of Greater Cleveland to become the Poets & Writers League of Greater Cleveland.

She's author of Owning and Operating a Business, for the Division of Vocational and Career Education, Ohio Department of Education in 1989. She's co-author of Expand Your Horizons by Understanding Self & Others, and Expand Your Time Use Potential, published by netwic in 1985 and 1987 respectively. Oldham is also author of Non-Credit Instruction: A Guide for Continuing and Adult Education Programs, published by Info-Tec in 1995, Selling What You Make and Self Publishing: 101, published by netwic in 1997 and Creating Brochures that Get Results, published by netwic in 1998. She's editor of The Lindsay Letters: 1828-1838 published by Closson Press in 1998.

She has written extensively on small business and writing for Entrepreneur, The Writer, New Woman, Cleveland Plain Dealer, Marketing Today, Greenhouse Manager, Southern Florist & Nurseryman, Aquaculture, and other publications. She was editor of Mature View, for the Chronologically Superior. She's been a stringer for the Cleveland Plain Dealer and a syndicated columnist.
