A native of Jamaica, Guy Harvey has always been obsessed with the creatures of the sea and began drawing pictures of his observations at an early age. That interest led him to an education in marine biology at Aberdeen University in Scotland. He continued his formal training at the University of West Indies, where he obtained a Doctorate in Fisheries Science. Yet Guy’s natural gift to recreate marine life propelled him into a highly successful career as a wildlife artist and photographer. During his travels to better understand the habits and activities of the marine wildlife he paints, he pioneered the techniques used in photographing free-swimming billfish. As an ardent conservationist, Guy has consistently supported catch-and-release fishing for gamefish around the world and works closely with many conservation organizations to help protect global fishery resources.Review:
