About the Author:

Martha Riley is a Professor of Music at Purdue University in Indiana, where she teaches music education classes. Originally from Berea, Kentucky, she grew up with a rich heritage of traditional music and dance. She has presented sessions on folk music and dance at national and international conferences and is a frequent presenter of workshops for teachers across the U.S. and Canada.
