He ran Centaur Press from his home in Sussex and was a distinguished independent publisher. He was the author of books on animal rights and vegetarianism. Blue illustrated dust jacket lettered yellow, white and black. Realm of Redonda bookplate signed by Jon Wynne-Tyson (Juan II) who was the King at the time on front pastedown endpaper also includes the names of the previous Kings: M.P. Shiel (Felipe I) and John Gawsworth (Juan I). Photocopies loosely inserted including 'Concerning the ÒOwnershipÓ of Redonda, and its ÒSovereigntyÓ which provides information concerning its history and states that Antigua regards Redonda as belonging to them even though Shiel was crowned in 1880 in what is said to have been a correct ceremony of consecration. A couple of other photocopies loosely inserted relating to Redonda and 'So Say Banana Bird'. Six newspaper cuttings loosely inserted, one an obituary about Bernard Moitessier, the round the world yachtsman who abandoned the race he was in and settled for a time in Tahiti. Other material includes a Christmas card with a drawing of Banana Bird, a colour photograph of Madeira and publisher's cards and review slips. Wynne-Tyson bases the island Zafada in the novel on Redonda but insists the King he depicts is not autobiographical. The protagonist wanting to escape his life sets sail on a solo voyage across the Atlantic only to encounter 'intrigue and skulduggery' in the West Indies.
