Book Description The Bronte Society, Keighley, West Yorkshire, 1977. Hard Cover. Condition: Very Good Plus. Dust Jacket Condition: Very Good Plus. First Edition. Before the publication of this book, no collated account of the Parsonage was available. It makes a fascinating read for anyone interested in the history of the house and its contents and also gives a good account of the life style pf the Bronte family. A slim volume, it is bound in blue hard covers with gilt lettering on spine and comprises just 80 pages, but the information is nicely presented. The book has a colour frontispiece of the Parsonage as it was in 1977 as well as further photographs, plans and drawings. This copy comes with a complimentary slip from the Custodian of the Bronte Society. There are a few residual horizontal marks on the boards from a protective wrapper that had been on the book; the top corners of the boards are also a bit bumped; in addition the endpapers and prelims bear slight traces of foxing. Otherwise this is a clean, bright copy in non price-clipped dustwrapper. The wrapper too is clean and bright showing only slight signs of general wear - and is now protected afresh by a clear conservation sleeve. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. Seller Inventory # 001365
