Product Description
The first book of its kind; One thousand years of entrepreneurial history. Napoleon Hill studied many successful men before writing the iconic book Think and Grow Rich which has been a best seller for decades. Now everyone has the opportunity to study dozens of the World s greatest entrepreneurs throughout time as Napoleon Hill did, including entrepreneurs studied by Napoleon Hill, such as Andrew Carnegie. The book also tells the story of Napoleon Hill s life and how created and lost several fortunes throughout his career as an entrepreneur. To have major success we need mentors, people who have successfully done what we are trying to do. This book provides a host of mentors to choose from. Authors that produced books like The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People by Steve Covey, Think Like a Winner by Norman Vincent Peale, Dale Carnegie s How to Win Friends & Influence People, studied the great successes of this world. This book allows the reader to do the same.

About the Author:

Ron Shillingford discovered his entrepreneurial talent pretty early in life. It began at age eleven. Having being granted the captaincy of the school football team, Ron received some shocking news. The coach announced that the school would not be funding the bus fare to away matches. This presented a major problem - the extra money simply wasn't there. Not being available for away matches meant being dropped from the team. His mother worked at the local McVities biscuit factory. The factory had a store that sold underweight biscuits to their staff members at a discount. Ron decided to purchase biscuits from the staff shop and sold them to his fellow students in the playground during lunchtime. Problem solved. He founded his first company The Shillingford Concept (lighting design and manufacturing) at the age of twenty, and ran it for 5 years. Then came the launch of Low Cost Telecom Ltd (12 retail outlets spread across the UK with a Direct Dispatch and Call Centre office). The lighting business partnered with Princes Youth Business Trust which led to Ron being invited to speak on the subject of entrepreneurship alongside the likes of Prince Charles . He was recruited by the Princes Charles' charity The Princess Youth Business Trust as a speaker. His audiences often included some of the most esteemed captains of British industry. This culminated in a major lighting deal with Gerald Ronson to fit over 200 of his petrol stations. The deal was done directly with Mr Ronson. The retail business was sold in 2002 so he could concentrate on building and operating his property development and rental portfolio, founded a year earlier. He s a self-made man who has been involved in a whole raft of business projects including the development of an ethical bank and later a community bank which is still in operation. His latest business, a publishing company, The History of the World s Greatest..., will publish its first title The History of the World s Greatest Entrepreneurs in May 2010. The manuscript has been well received: Ron Shillingford is currently developing his publishing business whilst working on his third book and researching the fourth.

Review:

Throughout history, events and people have shaped the world we live in today. Some are famous, whilst others are merely distant figures rarely acknowledged for their contributions. Bringing the periods and events together, seeing them through the lives of such individuals is illuminating, informative and enjoyable. This book has all three. History at its most enjoyable. --Author Paul Henke

An intelligent and groundbreaking book that takes a close look at what makes entrepreneurs tick. Tips, insights, case studies, anecdotes and most of all, learning- this book has it all. A must read. --BBC Business Guru - Rene Carayol MBE

The History of the Worlds Greatest Entrepreneurs is an essential addition to the personal library of anyone who has the entrepreneurial spark. I will happily lend or give away many of my books but this is a book I won't let out of my house. For anyone who has the enterprising spirit, this book is a reference manual, a book of bedtime stories, a source of inspiration and a set of battle plans. As I read the stories of self-made men and women from the last 1000 years, I became more and more inspired in my own story and my own journey. I am so pleased I stumbled upon this gem. --Daniel Priestley Serial Entrepreneur and International Speaker
