This is an inspiring film that opens our eyes to our true potential, and is for anybody who wants to find out what life is really about. It shows the transformation process of 25 people in a community with the spiritual teacher John David. He explains in an insightful, humorous way what makes people feel separate, and what prevents living inner freedom. The film portrays an intense experiment in conscious living, encouraging a clear understanding of the traps of conditioning and the realisation of the eternal Self. An extraordinary film which draws the viewer in with its touching and beautiful imagery.

Finding no fulfilment in career and relationship in England, and driven by a deep question, Premananda began his spiritual journey. This began in Japan, and continued for many years in India with Osho, until he eventually arrived at the doorstep of his final master, Papaji, himself a disciple of the renowned Master, Ramana Maharshi. Here, twenty years of spiritual searching ended when the Self revealed itself and he saw that this was his true nature.
Premananda has been a spiritual teacher for 20 years, or in his words a messenger of his Master, Papaji. The message that comes through Premananda is to be quiet, to become still, and to discover that we are the very happiness and love that we are seeking.
He is also an artist, author and filmmaker living in Open Sky House, an International Satsang and Arts community that formed around him in Germany in 2004. The Community is open for anybody who has come to a point in their life where inner freedom or awakening is the first priority. Anyone is welcome to visit the community for a satsang evening or as a guest or helper.
It is here that Premamanda works closely with the residents and holds regular retreats as well as broadcasting live SatsangTV via the Internet three evenings a week. You can engage in dialogue with him by entering into the meeting live using Skype. During the week you can ask questions by email which he will then answer in the next meeting. On his website there is also a comprehensive archive of 300 Satsang meetings since 2009, in seven different languages.
In 2013, another Open Sky community with the same priority of awakening was founded near Kiev, Ukraine.
John David (formerly Premananda) spent fifteen years with his first Master, Osho, and five years with the great Advaita Master H.W.L. Poonja (Papaji), a direct disciple of Bhagavan Sri Ramana Maharshi.
John David sees the unfolding of his whole life as a chance to remind people of their true potential. He expresses this in a multi-faceted, creative way as a Satsang Teacher, Author, Film Director, Painter, Gallery Curator, Architect, Community Director and World Traveller.
The Open Sky House Communities enable his creativity to be supported by an intimate group of close fellow travelers from distinctly different cultures in Western and Eastern Europe, and also creates a powerful and supportive space for a deep inner work to take place.
