Marilyn McCusker Shannon is the author of the classic women's self-care book, Fertility, Cycles & Nutrition, now in its fourth edition. She holds a master's degree in human physiology with a minor in biochemistry from Indiana University's Medical Sciences Program. She has taught human anatomy and physiology at the university level for over 25 years.
Marilyn and her husband Ron have been a Teaching Couple for the Couple to Couple League for Natural Family Planning since 1982. They are the parents of nine children, seven born to them and two adopted as babies. The Shannons live on a small farm in Indiana, and their homestead is also the birthplace of several of their children.
