While there is no obvious shelf wear the rear board is heavily stained, crossing the bottom of the spine and discoloring the front bottom for about an inch. One of 1700 printed for the trade. Owner's name on first white page and a 2 1/2 by 3" sheet of handmade, burnished bamboo paper tipped in. Information sheep laid in. Details the process of hand making the bamboo paper used to separate gold during the beating of gold leaf. Also details the rice paper process for the sheets which separate the gold in packaging. This text also details the gold beating process from the gold supplier to the finished product with photos, including its usage on shrines. Beautiful book, very clean inside.
